Injury Prevention & Performance Enhancement for GOLF

Golf is slowly becoming one of the most popular sports in the country. Unfortunately, with the increasing popularity comes an increase in injury. The shoulders and lower back are especially prone to injury due to the nature of the golf swing. At Cor Clinic, we are committed to excellence in the fields of sports conditioning and orthopedic rehabilitation. We understand the need for proper strength training when it comes to the game of golf, not only for performance enhancement, but also for injury prevention. In an effort to help more golfers extend their careers and take their game to the next level, we have developed the Cor Golf Conditioning Program.

The Cor Golf Conditioning Program is designed to:

  • Decrease the potential for injury by addressing movement impairments and muscle imbalances that can be negatively impacting joints and muscles.
  • Improve postural alignment and kinetic functioning
  • Enhance flexibility and mobility
  • Increase core strength and stability in order to improve functional efficiency
  • Increase muscular strength and power for enhanced club speed and driving distance
  • Enhance muscular endurance in order to maintain a consistent swing through an entire 18-hole round.

The Cor Golf Conditioning Program begins with an initial assessment, consisting of a movement screen. This movement screen tells us about how you move and gives us some insight into any muscle imbalance that you have that may be inhibiting the quality of your swing. The findings of the movement assessment help us to plan out a specific program focusing on your needs. The program is progressed over several weeks to help the athlete develop the needed strength and power to prevent injury and enhance their play.

The Fitness Professionals at Cor Clinic are all Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Through their wealth of knowledge and experience, they are dedicated to developing a program of the highest quality to meet your sports conditioning needs.
